The desk: a short account of who does what here
ShortsFinder is written by The ShortsFinder Desk, an unnamed editorial desk that treats vertical drama series the way a camera magazine treats a new body: with a checklist and low expectations.
Who we are, up to a point
There is no byline and no founder's story on this site, and there are no portraits of anybody holding a phone thoughtfully. The desk stays unnamed by choice. What should matter to you is whether the sheets are useful, and you can test that for free by comparing what we say to the opening episodes yourself. We would rather be checked than trusted. The tone comes from the old equipment review: say what the thing is, say what it does, note where it falls short, and try not to get carried away. Vertical drama does not require reverence, but a plain description can save you tokens.
The method
- Watch the free episodes. Every sheet starts from the openers, which is what any reader can see for free.
- Note the numbers. Episodes, free openers and tokens per paid episode go into the spec library just as listed.
- Write the sheet. Each one covers the premise, the tone, the pacing, who a title suits and who should skip it.
We do not give scores or percentages, because we cannot back them up and they would flatter us with a precision we do not have. Where we do not know something, the sheet stays general or says nothing. A premise gets described in our own words, and we try not to spoil anything beyond the setup. If you want to see how the method plays out in practice, the free episodes guide uses the same questions we do.
What we are, and what we are not
This handbook is unofficial, and Candy.ai does not run it. The site does carry affiliate links, which means that we may earn a commission if you follow one and go on to buy something. You should weigh what we say with that in mind, and it is one more reason we keep sending you to the free episodes before anything else. If a series wastes its opening, we would rather tell you so. A reader who feels misled does not come back, and a handbook with no returning readers has very little point. The whole site is meant for readers aged 18 and over.
Getting in touch
If we have a number wrong, or a sheet that no longer matches the listing, please tell us at contact@candyshorts.top, and include the title so we can check it. Corrections are welcome and useful. We cannot help with accounts, billing or refunds, as those belong to Candy and we have no access to them. For how we handle the small amount of data involved in running a site like this, read the privacy page. It is short.
